Australia State Nomination Guide 2026: 190 and 491 Visa

State nomination allows each Australian state and territory government to nominate skilled migrants for the Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated visa (permanent residence) or the Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional visa (provisional, with a pathway to permanent residence via the Subclass 191 visa). Each state and territory manages its own occupation list, invitation process, and eligibility criteria independently.
